Publications

The barony of Aarnimetsä has a Finnish monthly newsletter called Aarniwalcea which you can order with the membership form. Besides that, you can order following the three English-language publications through us when you buy a membership from us: Dragon's Tale, Compleat Anachronist, Tournaments Illuminated. Note that if you are an officer, you have to subscribe to either Aarniwalcea or Dragon's Tale, preferably to both.

Dragon's Tale is the monthly newsletter for the kingdom of Drachenwald. It contains event announcements for the whole kingdom, officer letters and short articles on various subjects. DT is printed in black-and-white and posted in A5 size.

Compleat Anachronist (CA) is a quarterly pamphlet published by the SCA, Inc. The CA is a themed pamphlet series, each issue contains an in-depth article or articles on a given subject. You can study the Index of issues (http://www.sca.org/ca/issues.html) to see what has been published in the past. CA is printed in half-letter size, in black-and-white.

Tournaments Illuminated (TI) is a quarterly magazine published by the SCA, Inc. TI has short articles on various subjects about the SCA or the Middle Ages and Renaissance, for example recruiting and spinning. This means that there's something for everybody in each issue, but there's no space for extensive discussion on any subject. TI is printed in colour, in quarto size (8 x 10 inches), so it looks fancier than the others.
